Winter Fun in the Tuxertal

THE HIGHEST OF FEELINGS!

The Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000 can be found at an amazing altitude of up to 3,250 m above sea level. Guaranteed snow and landscapes as white as nature intended.
A special attraction is the glacier roundIt is with its 72 km departures and 15000 elevator meters a fascinating challenge for a day trip!

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING – SKATING ...ON THE LUGGI GREDLER LOIPE...

The sports facilities in Tuxertal include 14 km of classical cross-country skiing tracks from Vorderlanersbach to Madseit, and a 14 km skating track in Juns/Madseit. Please observe the direction of the track. The track is maintained by the Tux-Finkenberg Tourist Association and is available for use free of charge.

Off-piste...
Have you tried out some of the numerous off-piste activities? The wonderful winter landscape invites you to explore nature in white – whatever your taste – on a winter hike, a sled ride, cross-country ski run, a ski tour… or a thrilling ice climbing expedition.

What about an exciting tobogganing trip? Three natural toboggan runs await you in Tux.

The starting points are the mountain huts Bichlalm, Höllensteinhütte and Grieralm. Toboggans for hire are available at all the huts... although the way home after a mountain hut evening is sometimes difficult!

ICE SKATING - BAVARIAN CURLING

Experience "Fun on Ice" on the large natural ice centres in Lanersbach and Finkenberg! Whether you want to risk racing around on speed skates or just watch your kids turning pirouettes, everyone finds what he wants.

Big or small - there's something here for everyone! Traditional Bavarian curling (ice stick shooting) assures amusing times and much variety away from the pistes.

There are 4 ice rinks in Lanersbach and 2 ice rinks for fun action with "tee and stick" in competitive and target curling. Good clean fun at the ice rinks; either during the day or in the evening - alone, in pairs or as a group. Gentle hint: there's no shortage of "goal water" (schnapps!).

WINTER HIKING TRAILS

There are 68 km of winter hiking trails in Tux and Finkenberg, which are cleared and gritted. The winter hiking trails to the Eggalm, to the Penken or the Sommerberg are a challenge – you will be rewarded by ancient traditional mountain huts and panorama restaurants with Ziller Valley specialities.

If you prefer to enjoy the wonderful views without so much effort, take the cable cars up to the mountain stations. Hiking is a movement training. Muscels, tendons and ligaments are exercised, your circulation gets going. More blood is pumped around the body.
